Yes, it should run but the "fix" is required.
TurboTax 2014 and 2015 crash on Mac 10.13.4 (and later).
That is a known issue that seems to have been created by Apple with a change in OSX 10.13.4. There was no problem with OSX 10.13.3.
Since this is not a defect in the TurboTax software, but is due to a change that Apple made which causes an internal Apple java script function to crash while reading an embedded java script component in the TurboTax application, TurboTax will not be issuing any update to the TurboTax software. ( An update would be useless anyway since the software must be running in order to apply an update and the software will not run at all.)
However, TurboTax has issued a workaround to remove the java script from the TurboTax application so that the Apple software will not crash.

Can't get through the links provided in your message from June 1, 2019 and TT is not supporting 2015 and earlier any longer. Can you help? Thanks JohnA

This post could be several years old. The date is the date that it was migrated from the old forum and not the true date of the post. Any tax year prior to 2016 is no longer supported.
Can someone post a link to the terminal fix for TurboTax 2015 since the official support people are useless on this forum? I'm on macOS 10.14.5 and it crashes in loop. TurboTax is really screwing their loyal customers over by not keeping an updated patch/downloads/support page.
I need to as I am having the same issues
Because TurboTax only supports 2016-2019 the script to fix 2014 & 2015 has been removed.
These products are still available on Amazon. I bought 2015 last month. Plus TurboTax does indeed allow the document upload/storage of these products. No reason whatsoever to remove the scripts, if anything please share them to github to preserve the solution for others who may need to re-open software they Paid for.
Yes, it would be great if somebody shared the scripts and a link to them so we could use our legally paid for software. Thanks
It would probably not be of much use anyway because the CD is always a preliminary release before all the IRS form updates are known so without updates, the CD is rather useless, and updates (and state downloads) for unsupported years are no longer available.
FYI: This was not actually a TurboTax issue at all but a Apple problem. The TurboTax software itself does not crash, it is a Apple function (part if the Mac OS) that crashes when it tries to read a java script component in the TurboTax application due to a change that Apple made in the OSX 10.13.3 update. Apple has never acknowledged that they made a change that broke the function that Apples own developer tools complied.
TurboTax developed a Unix shell script to remove that non-essential java component.
Yes, could someone provide the TurboTax -developed Unix shell script to remove that non-essential java component? Thanks
There are two problems with doing that.
1) To be executable the script must be packaged in a container such as a zip file but there is no way to post a zip file in this forum. A plain text file would require knowledge of Unix scrips to fix wrap around lines and then be able to run the script in the terminal application.
2)The larger problem is the script is copyrighted so it would take a release by TurboTax to permit posting it.
