You may want to consider using TurboTax Online. You can use multiple email addresses to complete and e-file the returns you need.
For more information about TurboTax Online, please see: How many times can I e-file using TurboTax Online?
Try installing one on a different computer.
This actually works. You can efile up to five different returns using one copy of the CD version of TurboTax installed on a particular computer. You can do the same thing by purchasing and installing a second, third, etc. CD version of TT, each on a DIFFERENT computer. However, you must use a different email address after every five returns efiled regardless of how many purchased CD TT installations on different computers (IRS requirement). The IRS and TT both benefit from this policy by making it harder for people to use the cheap version of TT as an unlicensed paid preparer. But unfortunately it sucks for those of us that want to help out our family and friends for free.
The limitations was to make it harder for income tax thieves from filing thousands of fraudulent returns ... it was not meant for the honest person like you. By needing to purchase separate programs and install them on different computers it makes it more costly for the fraudsters and this has slowed them down but sadly did not eleminate them completely.
Now as to your situation ... you can use one of the IRS FREE FILE options or the TT Free online option for all of the "friends & family" that qualifies. The other option would be to have them paper file as the limitation on the downloaded program is 5 efiles.
