I paid estimated taxes for 2021, where do I enter them? Seems like I'd need to enter them in my 2021 tax forms which I don't seem to have access to.

I can only access my 2020 tax forms at this time.

You haven't paid Estimates yet for 2021except for the first one that was due 2 days ago on April 15.  We don't file our 2021 returns until after Dec31, 2021 next year.  We are doing the 2020 returns now that are due May 17, 2021 this year.  The tax return is for the year that ended on Dec 31, not the year you are filing it in.

If you paid Estimates last year in 2020 they were for your 2020 return.

You can type estimates paid in the search box at the top of your return and click Find and it will give you a link to Jump To it.

OR

To enter Federal or State Estimated Taxes Paid, including a state estimated payment made in January for the prior year, go to

Federal on left or at top.  Personal (Home & Business)

Deductions and Credits at top

Then scroll way down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid

Estimated Taxes - click the start button

For 2020 Federal Estimated payments should be on 1040 line 26.

I see. I had hoped turbotax would let me enter or otherwise track my current payments towards next year given that it has various estimated tax vouchers/forms/etc.  Thanks!

Oh so you really wanted to enter and track the 2021 estimates for this new year.  Sorry no.  Your bank records is the only way and proof.  Unless you use a financial program like Quicken or QuickBooks.

You can track this at the IRS in any of the following ways:

For the 2021 tax return, be sure to include the payments. See: Where do I enter my estimated tax payments?

If you have federal estimated payments, you may also have state estimated payments.

I paid estimated taxes in December after a rollover to a roth.  Where do I enter them?
