Isn't it included together on the same 1099G ?
Yes it is included but not together. In one line I have my Unemployment Compensation and in oder line I jave the FPUC.
In the same 1099-G but in different lines
On what lines? Line 1 is unemployment and line 2 is for a state tax refund.
I just have 3 lines on my 1099-G.
1. Unemployment Compensation
2. Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation
3. Tax Withheld
I'm confiuse if I need to add both or only report unemployment compensation?
@alicea_janice Enter all of the information from your 1099G for unemployment --- it is all fully taxable whether it came from the state or the federal government.
Yes, the forms are both reporting Unemployment Compensation received. These are two different types of Unemployment Income.
The amounts on each form will have to be added together before entering and reporting the information on your tax form.
If the box numbers don't match then go by the description for each box when inputting in TurboTax.
Add them together.
You can type unemployment into the search box at the top of your return and hit find. It should give you a Jump To link to take you right to it.
