I need an installment plan with the Federal tax for $600. what do I do for that?

can i do that online? calling them would take forever.

Yes, you can set up an installment plan with the IRS. You can do this in TurboTax, but only if you haven't filed your return yet.

To get to Form 9465:

1. Select File in the left menu
2. Select Start next to Step 2: Your refund/payment info (you might need to complete Step 1 to activate Step 2, if you haven't done so already)
3. Select See all payment options
4. Select Request an IRS payment plan on the screen How would you like to pay your federal taxes? (You won't see this screen if you owe $0 or are getting a refund)
5. Read the information provided carefully, then Continue
6. Follow the instructions on the next screen to set up your payment plan. Select Got it to continue.

You can fill out Form 9465 online on the IRS website if you have already e-filed.

egad  I already e-filed. so what do i do now??? I cant use the turbo link.

my turbo live adviser said to e-file first and make a payment. then seek an installment plan. this was yesterday.
