Are you having a trouble with a Social Security number that was entered into the software, for yourself, a spouse or a dependent? Perhaps there is an error in the IRS e-file database. The IRS gets the information from the Social Security Administration. See also this help.

Or are you receiving an error message related to Social Security wages (box 3) or Social Security tax withheld (box 4) on a W-2?

Or are you receiving an error message related to a Social Security Benefit Statement (SSA-1099)?
