I lost my w2 form where can i get a new one?

I have misplaced my W2, does Turbo tax have 2020's information? Really don't want o ask my employer for a copy.

Please clarify - did you use TurboTax to prepare your 2020 return and did you enter this missing W-2 in that return?

@Nlcrenshaw Are you trying to post a question in the user forum?   All that is here is "I"---no question.   This is posted in a thread in which other users are asking about how to get copies of their W-2.  Is that your issue or is it something else?

@mark--24 TurboTax does not have a copy of your 2020 W-2.   If you filed a 2020 tax return using TurboTax then the information from that W-2 is in the worksheets that are part of the pdf of your 2020 return, but there is not an actual image of the W-2.   As for your 2021 W-2, your employer(s) have until January 31 to issue them.

Every 2021 W-2 that you received must be reported on your 2021 tax return, even if they are for small amounts.  Remember that each one of those W-2’s has your Social Security number on it, and that income was reported to the IRS by the employer.  You do not want to get in trouble with the IRS for under-reporting your income.

ALL of your W-2’s must be entered on the SAME tax return.  

Go to Federal>Wages & Income to enter a W-2.

After you enter the first one, you click Add Another W-2.

W-2's come from your employer, and they have until January 31 to issue it.  Some employers allow you to import the W-2 through the software, but for security reasons you still need information from the actual W-2 to import it.  You might need to phone, drop in, email and/or snail mail an old employer to make sure they know where to send your W-2.

And….SAVE YOUR OWN W-2!  TURBOTAX DOES NOT SAVE IT FOR YOU.  TurboTax will not have a copy of it in your account and will not have an image even if you snapped a photo.  It is up to you to save it for your own records as stated on the back of the W-2.

I need a copy of the 1099 forms I issued to my contractors filed in previous 7 years. In my quickemployerforms.intuit.com account, all previous filed form are in the status of "transferred". Can't print or download them. What can I do? Thanks.

Turbo Tax only saves the current and last prior year.  You need to download the pdf each year to save the copies.  Don't know what you can do.  Maybe there's a way to get the copies from the IRS.

Contact your employer and request a replacement. They're free and you may be able to get one while you wait but best to call ahead.

TurboTax does not have a copy of your W-2—the Wage & Tax Statement—issued to you by your employer, (nor does TurboTax have copies of your 1099’s).   You should always save those documents for your own records. You could ask the employer(s) for copies or you can get a copy from Social Security (for a fee of $90).

If you saved a pdf of your completed tax return, the worksheets will show the W-2 information you entered, but not the actual W-2.

You can get a wage and income transcript from the IRS:  It will not show the actual W-2, 1099’s, etc, but will show the income information the IRS received.  It will not, however, show your state information. It will only show the federal information.
