If you have a Form W-2 showing Box
16 wages earned in Puerto Rico in (displayed as
“PR” in Box 15), please note that TurboTax does not support state tax
returns from Puerto Rico. You can still file your federal tax return; however,
you would need to file the Puerto Rico state return directly with the
Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

If you are
inquiring about obtaining a refund of improperly withheld Social
Security and Medicare taxes, you can request that
your employer refund the withheld taxes to you. If the company will not
refund the withheld taxes to you, you can file a claim for refund with the
Internal Revenue Service on Form 843, Claim for Refund and
Request for Abatement.
