You will need to contact Healthcare.gov to get your 1095-A. Follow the instructions in this link to download your 1095-A.
Thank you for replying Vanessa A. I should have been more clear. I already had the 1095-A from Marketplace or Healthcare. gov but not from Humana Advantage/Medicare for October-December 2023. However, I contacted Medicare and they told me I will need to call them back around mid-February and request a 1095-B. I’m hoping that will have the necessary information needed to complete the filing.
@viceola You do NOT enter a 1095B on a tax return. The only health insurance form you need to enter is the 1095A. When you enter the 1095A, if there are zeros on it for the months you did not have coverage with healthcare.gov, leave those spaces blank when you fill out the fields on the software. The software does not like "zero."
@viceola A Form 1095-B is not entered on a tax return. Only a Form 1095-A is reported on a tax return
If your Form 1095-A shows a 0.00 in all the boxes for October thru December, leave those boxes blank (empty) when entering the 1095-A in TurboTax.
Why do you think you need to prove you had health insurance for Oct - Dec 2023 when you were on Medicare.
For the purposes of the healthcare reporting requirement, you will disregard your Medicare/Humana advantage coverage. You only concern is the report the information on your 1095 A.
