As title states. I already received my federal return deposit. The software won't let me e-file my state portion alone and I refuse to resubmit/e-file the federal portion again. How can I e-file the state portion only? TIA

That faq only says I am able to e-file after my Federal has been accepted, which it already has since I received my return. It doesn't say how or why the software is not letting me e-file the state portion only. I am filing as single.
Are you following the instruction from the FAQ? Most State returns are processed through the Federal even if you've already filed the Federal and are now only filing the State.
Yep. The only instructions on the faq are "With your return open, select the State Taxes tab. This will take you to the state section and you can proceed from there."
When I do, turbo tax says I have to e-file my federal first and won't let me e-file the state portion by itself.
Can you send a screenshot of where it shows you have to file your Federal first?
Of course! Before and after I click continue:
Did you change accounts in order to create the Colorado return? Because this account does not seem to realize that your federal has already been filed.
If this is the same account then there appears to be an issue with your federal efile. You should contact TurboTax support.
Here's how to contact TurboTax.
I am having the same exact issue. Anyone have any insight? I filed my federal, it is showing as accepted, but will not let me file state alone. HELP!!!
Here's detailed info on Filing Federal and State Returns Separately.
If you're using TurboTax Online, clear your Cache and Cookies before going in to Efile your State.
Thank you. It was already accepted by the IRS. I am using the desktop version. I have closed and restarted TT and still get the same issue. Very frustrating.
What error message and where do you get trying to Efile state after Federal was accepted? It could take a few days after Federal acceptance. If you can give a bit more info, we'll try to help or you can Contact TurboTax Support.
