I am unable to transmit file why

I'm having the exact same problem outlined by "Ron20".  Has a solution been provided yet?

I just e-filed my Federal and NC returns successfully. Note: I don't itemize, and don't file estimated payments. My NC return is ONLY the D-400 - I deleted other NC forms from my return.

Read the NC DoR text literally.

The DoR wrote: 'The target date to open the tax season is the week of Feb. 28.' That means if you file, they will not process the return until after 2/28 - it doesn't mean you can't file earlier. As I wrote, TurboTax Deluxe Mac e-filed mine a few minutes ago.

E file NC STATE  TODAY i do itemized taxes went through today with turbo tax  premier.

It appears that the NCDOR has updated efiling for NC. I have just successfully submitted my NC tax data. It looks like the door is now open.

Yeah, my NC return was finally transmitted today (2/18).  No word whether it was accepted yet.

NC DOR won't send acceptance emails until it begins processing returns (2/28).

MY FED taxes has been approve  and on the way next week efile my NC STATE TAXES yesterday it's saying pending status but it did efile guess IT WAITING  for approval.

FYI, I was just able to e-file my NC taxes. I didn't have to pay any additional filing fees.

Why can I not transmit my 2020 return?  The error message is:  The Intuit Electronic Filling Center is closed for the 2020 Personal Income Tax filing season.  October 20, k2021 was the last daY TO FILE RETURNS ELECTRONICALLY.. - pLEASE FILES YOUR RETURN(S) THROUGH THE MAIL.

I purchased Turbo Tax in January 2022.

You purchased the 2020 TurboTax software.  If you are completing a 2020 tax return it cannot be e-filed.  It can only be printed and mailed.  As stated, e-filing for a 2020 tax return was closed after October 20, 2021.

Or are you trying to complete and file a 2021 tax return?  If so, each tax year is a separate TurboTax program that has to be purchased.

FYI - I was able to file my 2021 return via TurboTax two weeks ago after successfully updating the software.  Thanks to everyone who responded.
