Hello
Anyone know where I can find the entry where I can correct my number for the Dec 31, 2021 ending balance for my HSA account?
I forgot to add $6k which was transferred out (not spent) in Nov 2021 to an Investment account (HSA self directed stock account) and I *think* I need to include this... there is no guideline on this in TT? Or do I have to include it? As of Dec 31, 2021, I didn't buy any stocks so the $6k balance did not change.
Or do I enter the $6k elsewhere? Or does it matter?

Enter the December 31 HSA account balance at the screen What's the total value of all your HSA's? You are instructed to add together the balances of multiple accounts.
The screen can be found under Federal / Deductions & Credits / HSA MSA Contributions.
The location you indicated doesn't have a location for me to enter the ending balance for Dec 31, 2021. It only has box 1 (Gross Distribution), box 2 (earnings on excess contributions), etc.
The total balance only matters if you owe a penalty for over-contributing. In that case the penalty is assessed on the lesser of your over contribution or the current balance in your HSA accounts.
As @JamesG1 said, you can enter the total of all HSA accounts in the Federal / Deductions & Credits / HSA MSA Contributions. It is at the very end of the interview, but it may only ask the question if you are facing a penalty. If you just moved the money from one HSA to another, it would not change the answer you originally gave.
