How to remove TT federal form hyphen into EIN; UT won't accept efile with hyphen; hyphen NOT on UT W2. Manually corrected 5 times but TT keeps adding it. ideas?

Per this instruction from Utah Income Tax Withholding – TC-40W, Part 1:

"The Utah withholding account number is a 14-character number. The first eleven characters are numeric and the last three are “WTH. Do not enter hyphens. Example: 12345678901WTH.

If form W-2 or 1099 does not include this number, contact the employer or payer to get the correct number to enter on TC-40W."

You can contact your employer to get the correct number.

The information flows from your federal tax return to your state income tax return. The correction should take place on your federal tax return.

You can also try deleting your Form W-2 and then re-enter it.
