Every 2020 W-2 that you received must be reported on your 2020 tax return, even if they are for small amounts. Remember that each one of those W-2’s has your Social Security number on it, and that income was reported to the IRS by the employer. You do not want to get in trouble with the IRS for under-reporting your income.
ALL of your W-2’s must be entered on the SAME tax return.
Go to Federal>Wages & Income to enter a W-2.
After you enter the first one, you click Add Another W-2.
W-2's come from your employer, and they have until February 1 to issue it. Some employers allow you to import the W-2 through the software, but for security reasons you still need information from the actual W-2 to import it. You might need to phone, drop in, email and/or snail mail an old employer to make sure they know where to send your W-2.

And….SAVE YOUR OWN W-2! TURBOTAX DOES NOT SAVE IT FOR YOU. TurboTax will not have a copy of it in your account and will not have an image even if you snapped a photo. It is up to you to save it for your own records as stated on the back of the W-2.
There are over a dozen kinds of 1099's. What kind are you trying to import? Many 1099's are not yet formatted for import from financial institutions until late January or even sometime in February. If you are waiting for a 1099NEC or 1090MIsc the person or business issuing it has until the end of January to issue it.
If you need a 1099G for unemployment
You will have to enter a 1099G that is issued by your state.
Some states will mail out the 1099G. Or you might need to go to your state’s unemployment website and use the password, etc. that you have been using to certify for weekly benefits to get your 1099G from the state’s site.
Enter your 1099G in Federal>Wages & Income>Unemployment
Is there any way to import W2, 1099G, 1099-DIV, 1099-B from a photograph of the paper copy? Or from a PDF file downloaded directly from a web site?
I recently heard that this may be possible for a W2 with the TurboTax phone app, but not sure how to do that or if it can be done with various 1099 forms.
If not possible for tax year 2020, how would one suggest this feature as a future enhancement for next year? Perhaps with an opportunity to view and proofread the result?
With modern OCR (and AI?) technology importing W2 and 1099 forms from a PDF should be both possible and less error-prone than manual typing.
No you cannot import photos of your documents. If you are using the mobile app you can snap a photo of a W-2 that you have in hand. Otherwise, key in the information.

There are "some" kinds of 1099's that can be imported from financial institutions such as banks, brokerages, etc, but there are others that you simply have to enter by hand.
