Thanks. I tried earlier and all I saw was "Which did you want to transfer", but I see it now.
Your online TurboTax Deluxe package clearly states that 1 state return is included with the package. So why am I being charged $20 to file it?!! That's false advertising! Liars!!
E-filing fee in desktop software
Did you purchase desktop software with state software included? They sell Deluxe both with and without state software--so you have to be careful which one you choose. And even if it does have the state software download included, that is for preparing the state. There is an extra fee to e-file the state. That state e-file fee has existed for years. You can avoid the state e-file fee if you print and mail the state instead of e-filing it.

You should SERIOUSLY make this more evident on your packaging! Like some folks before me, I call "BS" on this!
Can I include my grandson in a separate account in my premium TT account.
When you use Online TurboTax, you get one return per fee. Each return needs its own account and user ID. If you use the same account and user ID for a second return, you overwrite the first one and lose it forever.
When you use Desktop TurboTax, which you install from a CD or download to your own hard drive, you can prepare and e-file multiple returns for the cost of the software. You can e-file up to 5 Federal returns—more if you mail the additional ones. If you have multiple returns to prepare for family members, Desktop is more cost effective.
Desktop --unless you specifically buy federal Deluxe only from a retailer-- will include the software for one specific state. You can prepare as many returns for that state as the number of federal returns you prepare. E-filing state returns is an extra fee which can be avoided by printing and mailing the states. Additional--other--state software is an additional fee for the software.
If I buy another CD/download....can I file 5 more?
If I buy another CD/download and install it....can I get another 5 free Federal files?
You can e-file 5 returns with the basic and deluxe versions. Don't know about higher versions. Fed e-file is free, one state is $25 for each e-file.

How much do you charge to eFile a 6th federal return using desktop program?
@vagus1200 You cannot e-file a 6th federal return for any price. The IRS limits you to five. If you have more than five to file they have to be filed by mail.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
