Hi,
I joined a new company in the mid of 2020 whose headquarters is based off of Georgia. I live in Texas. My employer made a mistake of deducting Georgia state income tax. I saw it in my w2 and reported to the payroll department. They have now issued me a corrected w2c. My question is should i choose option "Yes, I made money in a state other than Texas" and report the W2 and W2C when i file taxes for 2020?.. Please clarify.
Thanks in advance

answer no. Texas doesn't have an income tax and you say that's where you lived and performed your work. were the Georgia taxes refunded? if so there's no need to file in Ga. if not it would seem the only way to get back the state withholding is to file a nonresident return and report no taxable wages just the withholding.
"Please clarify "
You file based on your corrected W-2C.
Thank you so much. My employer did refund the money and issued me a corrected W2 which had state income tax as 0.
