How do i report mistakenly deducted state income tax by my employer?
Hi,
I joined a new company in the mid of 2020 whose headquarters is based off of Georgia. I live in Texas. My employer made a mistake of deducting Georgia state income tax. I saw it in my w2 and reported to the payroll department. They have now issued me a corrected w2c. My question is should i choose option "Yes, I made money in a state other than Texas" and report the W2 and W2C when i file taxes for 2020?.. Please clarify.
Thanks in advance
