It sounds like you may have been one of the taxpayers who was affected by an IRS processing error that delayed payments.
We are happy to share that TurboTax customers who were affected by the IRS processing error that delayed some stimulus payments should begin seeing deposits into their accounts as soon as January 8, 2021.
This update may not be reflected in the Get My Payment tool at the IRS due to the focus on efforts to distribute the payments.
These payments will be distributed to the account listed for your federal refund on your 2019 tax return. If you did not have a refund in 2019, did not receive your 2019 refund via direct deposit, or did not file a return, the IRS may not have your direct deposit information and you should expect to either receive a check or to claim the payment on your 2020 tax return.
If you do not see a payment either in your bank account or your mailbox by January 15, 2021, you should claim your payment via the Recovery Rebate Credit on your 2020 tax return. Please hold off filing returns until after this date to ensure that you are preparing the most accurate return possible.
If you should need to claim the credit on your tax return, you are encouraged to file early (but after January 15) to receive these funds as quickly as possible. In TurboTax, you will enter information about the credit near the end of the interview in the Final Review section of the program.
More information about the payments and any additional updates can be found at the following links:

The IRS tool shows it mailed on January 6th, to my previous address. I have a change of address on file the post office said was good for me a year. I moved to my new address February 21 of 2020. The new address is I filed my taxes this year along with direct deposit information. The postal service here went wacky this past January, and my mail on is not in time and I get had to use credit cards to pay for daily necessities. I have checked with the USPS, locally either they don't answer, phone, text, email or unable to help in public. I am trying to locate the 600.00, it is greatly needed, now.
I filed before the 15th did not realize that the IRS would not start processing until February 12th. So I didn't do the recovery tax rebate on my taxes with Turbotax
It is difficult to know whether to wait for your stimulus payment in the mail or file for the stimulus payment as a Recovery Rebate Credit on your 2020 Federal 1040 tax return.
If you have not received your second stimulus check, you will receive your payment in the form of a Rebate Recovery Credit on line 30 of your 2020 Federal tax return when you file.
TurboTax will compare your one or two stimulus payment amounts to the computations within TurboTax. The computations within TurboTax are based upon the information that you have entered into the tax software. If you are due an additional amount, it will be issued as a Rebate Recovery Credit (RRC) on line 30 of the 2020 1040 tax return.
In TurboTax Online, you are prompted to input stimulus check 1 and stimulus check 2 information under Review down the left hand side of the screen.
You can access your stimulus check choices by following these steps:

The Recovery Rebate Credit is the process that is used to receive either one or both of your stimulus payments that were not received earlier.
If you have e-filed your 2020 Federal tax return and the tax return is accepted by the IRS, you will have to amend your 2020 Federal tax return and correct the entries and calculations to receive the Rebate Recovery Credit.
If you have e-filed your 2020 Federal tax return and the tax return is rejected by the IRS, you will have to amend your 2020 Federal tax return and correct the entries and calculations to receive the Rebate Recovery Credit as well as correct the entries that generated the rejection.

You will have to amend your 2020 tax return and complete the Recover Rebate Credit section to report that you did not receive EIP2.
See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a 2020 tax return originally completed and filed using TurboTax - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/amend-2020-return/L3XdA1Pw8_U...
An amended 2020 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed.
Expect the IRS to take 6 months or longer to process the 2020 amended tax return.
@Dewan7G The only way to get the second stimulus check is by filing a 2020 tax return.
The first EIP --or stimulus check--- was issued in 2020 It was for $1200 for adults and $500 for a dependent under the age of 17. The IRS used information from either your 2019 or 2020 tax return to issue those checks so they could send them out in a hurry.
The 2nd EIP or stimulus was issued in late 2020 or early 2021 and was $600 for adults and $600 for dependents under age 17.
If you did not receive the 1st and/or 2nd stimulus check you can get it by filing a 2020 tax return and using the recovery rebate credit in Federal Review. It will end up on line 30 of a 2020 tax return and will be added to your refund (or reduce your tax due).
The 3rd EIP--or stimulus check-- was sent out in mid-March or later in 2021 and was for $1400 per person--adults and dependents no age limit.
If you did not get the 3rd EIP payment you can get it by filing a 2021 tax return and using the recovery rebate credit in Federal Review. The credit will go on line 30 of your Form 1040 and will add to your refund (or reduce your tax due).
