How can I e-file my return when Turbo Tax will not accept my banks routing number? I'm positive the number is correct. TTax phone help did not know.

I am using Turbo Tax Deluxe desktop (PC).

Did you copy/paste the number into TurboTax? If you did, you'll want to make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the routing number, or delete the number entirely and manually key it in.

I gave up and had my refund deposited to another account.
but
I just got a notice I need an IP PIN to file my return. I have not received an IP PIN from the IRS and have never heard of it. At any rate, I'm trying to work through that now.

If the system is asking for a 6-digit IP PIN, this is only issued by the IRS. You can see the FAQ link provided below for assistance with how to retrieve this:
