If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.

Head of household is a special status for single parents who pay for their own home and provide care in that home for one or more qualifying persons, who are usually their children and their dependents.  It does not mean "head of the family" or "main breadwinner."  If you indicate you are single and you enter information for at least one qualifying dependent, Turbotax will automatically recommend HOH status.  If you are not seeing that recommendation, it means that either you don't have a qualifying person in your home, or that you answered one or more of the household and dependent questions incorrectly.   Can you explain more about your situation?
