Hi, I have filled the 2018 tax using Turbo tax but when I try downloading now, it does not provide option to download instead asking me to subscribe the subscription.

Do I have to buy the product to view my past documents?

You do not have to buy anything to get to your 2018 return.  You have to access it by using exactly the same account and user ID you used when you prepared the return.

 

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

Hi, I have filled the 2018 tax using Turbo tax but when I try downloading now, it does not provide option to download instead asking me to subscribe the subscription.

Yes, I am in the correct user account and exactly doing the same but still cannot download. Also I can see the status as Accepted but when try download/Print Return PDF, it is asking to select the product on the home page. Attaching screenshot below, please advise. image (1).pngimage.png

@sanjaymishraz Close the TurboTax window.  Clear cache and cookies on your web browser.  Close the browser and reopen the browser.

 

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

 

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

 

If you still cannot access your 2018 account to download the PDF and/or the tax data file, contact TurboTax support for further assistance.
