Filing 2022

I completed the forms and e-Filed. It was rejected because of an incorrect AGI. I have the last year's forms. It is correctly entered. I double checked with the IRS ID-me site and the amount is the same and correct. Is there something I can do other than printing the forms and filing by mail (51 pages)? It is very frustrating if that is my option.

ENTER 0 FOR AGI. The IRS took a long time last year to process 2020 returns so the AGI didn't get entered in time.

When did you file 2020? If it was late in the year or you mailed it, try putting in 0 (zero) for the AGI. And see, https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/rejections/help/what-if-i-entered-the-correct-agi-and-i-m-still-getting-an-e-file-reject/00/27031

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.

The IRS may not have your 2020 AGI in their database.

Enter a 0 (zero) for the 2020 AGI and e-file the tax return again.

I have the same issue. It has been rejected and I checked AGI with IRS site and the number is exactly the same. I just entered 0 and it has been rejected again. This is super frustrating. The only thing I can think of is that last year I filed paper return. It seems like many people are having this same situation. Has anyone been able to figure it out? THANKS

If the correct 2020 AGI was entered and the IRS rejected the return and entering a 0 for the 2020 AGI the IRS also rejected the tax return, then your only option is to print and mail the tax return.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for how to print a tax return for mailing when using the online editions - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/printing/help/how-do-i-print-and-mail-my-return-in-turbotax-online/00/26258
