None of the suggested steps fixed the issue. I unable to E-file Federal and CA State taxes. Message keeps telling me to install the latest update. When I go to Online Menu and check updates, TT tells me I am up to date. I'm stuck.
Since we can't see your return in this forum, nor can we know your computer configuration, it's difficult to diagnose your particular problem. If you Contact TurboTax Support, they can get into your computer for more individualized trouble-shooting. If you can be more specific about the error you receive when trying to Efile, we'll try to help.
If you can't Efile your Federal/State together, one user suggested Efiling Federal first, then state. Here's more info on Filing Federal and State Returns Separately.

Hi There, so what's the "Patch?" We're in CA. I already waited to file the taxed in March 25, but seems like the issue was never resolved by Turbo Tax. That's crazy. For a huge company like that... :(
