If you mean you had extra tax withheld from your pay by your employer -----that is already on your W-2. You do not enter it again as an estimated tax that you paid. Your employer puts all of the tax withheld in boxes 2 and 17 on your W-2.
Hi. I am at the "Deductions & Credits section and the question is How Much Did You Pay In Federal Estimated Taxes? and it asked for an amount per quarter. Do I have to fill that out? I have already passes the part about entering my W2 information. I request an additional $500 per paycheck for withholding. Thanks.
No. Only enter the withholding from your W2. Nowhere else. Estimated taxes are extra payments you sent in to the IRS outside of work.
The "additional $500 per paycheck" is already included in box 2 of your W-2. Although the W-4 form, you filled out, called it "extra", it is all lumped together when your employer issues you the W-2
Thank you!
