My W2 has blank box 15, missing employer State ID. Its for Missouri. Looking at my last year W2, I am able to find employer State ID. My question is Do i have to report it to my employer and ask for new W2? Thanks!

Your W-2 is missing the employer’s state ID in box 15.
If you have the same employer as last year, it is probably the same number.
But you may want to contact your employer’s Payroll department for the following reasons:

Yes, if you had the same employer last year you can use the same number. Only your employer can provide you with your employer's state ID number (and explain why it's not on your W-2.). If you do not have the EIN on your W-2, you can call your employer and ask for it.
Good News! Your e-file return will still go through just fine, as long as there are no other errors on your return. Your state department of revenue will be able to easily identify your employer from their 9-digit federal EIN, so the state ID number is a little redundant anyway, but is still a way that your state tracks employers in their internal state computer system.
However, the state employer ID number is really only a bureaucratic convenience for your state's department of revenue; it's simply not an essential element to the correct filing and processing of a valid personal income tax return (either state or federal).

That is correct. Just tried filing my taxes electronically, but I can't proceed electronically without the state ID number.
What if you didn't work for them last filing tax year? I work as a caregiver in Cali and if we are live in, we are exempt from state and federal taxes. Essentially our client is our employer, but the agency (IHSS) I work through sends out the w2's on their behalf, but I'm paid through the state treasury department.
@Iamkookie Since this income is not taxable, you can enter the Income and an equal offset amount in the 'Other Income' section.

It is the same for filing 2021 taxes in 2022. Turbo Tax requires a number, and 9999999 does not work
