Not sure what the significance of the worksheets are. Does any of this get included in the e-file? Or should I be concerned only with what I see on the government forms. I would prefer not to have to review the worksheets. I know that everything on the government forms is correct.
Most everything has been entered in the "Step-by-step" input, but it's possible that something was entered directly on a worksheet, e.g., an answer to a question.

Only the required forms, schedules and statements are sent to the IRS when filing. All the federal & TT worksheets are for your records only.
Yeah, the IRS doesn't get the worksheets, BUT when something goes wrong, those worksheets are critical in finding out what happened, or exactly where a mis-entry was made.
_______________
Examples:
1) Multiple W-2 forms, total income is right, but and tax withholding totals up wrong for either the Feds or the state. Which W-2 was the entry mis-entered on? (happens a lot with people double-hitting a key or inverting numbers)
2) W-2 forms for both husband and spouse......but they were mis-entered as both coming from just one of them...and that resulted in an improper SS tax refund for overpayment into SS. (Happens a lot)
3) Folks want a list of all the charities they entered and $$ amounts....it's on the worksheets, but the actual Schedule A just shows a total.
etc...etc...
If you entered something directly on the form you may not be able to efile if it was an override.
