E-filing after correcting an error

One of my family's tax returns was rejected because it contained an error. I corrected it and tried to e-file again, because the program said that once corrected I could e-file again for free. But because this was the 5th tax return, it didn't allow me to e-file, saying that I had already used up all 5 of my e-files.  This was technically number 5. What can I do? Do I need to buy another turbo tax program to e-file?

That is the way the IRS works, and I don't believe there is any work around when it happens.  You may have to print and mail that return.  The IRS counts how many times you efile and it limits to five.
