Driver's License: Is it the original issue date or the replacement date required for e-filing?

For the e-file, what date should I enter when asked for issue date on driver's license?   The date when it was issued or the date when it was replaced?  Both dates appear on the driver's license.

You are not required to enter your drivers license to e-file your federal return, so it probably makes no difference which date you use.   The DL adds some security but the IRS does not require you to enter it.  There are a couple of states that are picky---but for most, it will not matter either.
