I purchased 2 different versions of turbotax for TY 2022: Turbo Tax Deluxe so that I can do my fathers taxes separately from my own taxes. For my own taxes I need the Turbo Tax Home and Business version.
SO I uploaded the Home and Business version and worked on my taxes and saved the file to the computer. Now that I want to work on my fathers taxes, I can't upload the Deluxe version without uninstalling the previous version.
Am I in danger of not being able to open my Home and Business 2022 file if I unistall Home and Business to download the Deluxe version? Or did I only need to purchase one version and do my father's taxes on the Home and Business version?

You cannot install two of the same year of TurboTax. You need one version, you can use your Home & Business version to do personal returns. When you start his return, choose the Personal tab to do a regular return. The Windows software offers 5 free Federal e-files (after the 5 you would need to mail in returns), there is a charge to e-file a State return. You can mail in the State return to avoid the e-file charge.
You can request a refund for the additional software. What you ask your question, do not say refund, state you have a bill problem, otherwise it will take you to refund information.

You only needed one version of the CD/download. You cannot install two versions for the same tax year. Each CD/download of the desktop software can be used to prepare and e-file up to five federal returns and can also prepare and e-file state returns. You can use the version you already have on your computer to prepare the return for your father or other family members. Even if he is not self-employed, you can use that version for any sort of income he received unless he has a business like an Scorps or Ccorps. If he just has W-2 income or retirement income, etc. you are fine to use the Home and Business software for his return. See if you can return the Deluxe--you do not need it.
