first time using turbotax. started out using the free version, was told there was some little thing that the free version didnt cover, had to pay 39.00, still not sure why, THEN I had to pay another 39.00 for state return, kinda feel cheated.

Sorry, the state return is a separate charge in Deluxe and above. Currently it just happens to be the same price as Deluxe federal.
That's way too much. Next time buy deluxe + state or premier + state. 1 state is included already in those TT products. There is also another charge if you want to efile State. As you buy TT each year, know the price you are paying. there will usually be a deal on TT at the same time each year. The version I use goes on sale the last week of December each year. I overpaid the first year I used TT so I know how you feel.
For future tax preparation, you can check to see which forms and schedules are included with each TurboTax Version before preparing your tax return. To do so, follow the steps below:

Scroll towards the bottom of the page
Under "Online software products" click Compare TurboTax products
Scroll down under the TurboTax products and click Learn More
Scroll down to the middle of the page and you will see four headers: "Features, Reviews, Tax Forms and Requirements"
Click Tax Forms
Here you can find which Forms and Schedules are included with each TurboTax version
I was charged twice. No one would help. I was to told to file and pay for both and then request a refund for one. I was then told they could not assist with as to why. They stated,
“our Satisfaction Guaranteed policy only covers TurboTax CD/Download products.” |
Which when filing online through their website does not cover. So instead of paying $41.97 I was charged $160.97. Service is trash and their supposed backing of taxes done right is false. It’s only valid if you purchase the downloads. Screw them.

Already did that and that was the answer I was given. Lack of effort from supervisors and managers. The service agent attempted and it was too much for their managers. If you don’t want to work then step aside for someone who does.
