does deleting my intuit data void my turbotax license

hello,

recently I requested to delete my intuit account data. there is no indication of voiding my turbotax license. but after doing it, I found out that my turbotax purchased via amazon, can't be activated anymore. 

The error is "this license has been activated by a different account"?

is this expected? is this documented?

Maybe, because safeguards are built in to stop people from buying one Turbotax and using it on multiple computers.

If you're worried about personal information, set up an email with a strange name you would recognize and email everything there.

Deleting it off of your system is bad juju.
