COVID stimulus

I received one stimulus check (out of three), this also coincided with the third round of payment. Would I say yes that I received the third round payment or no as it was the only stimulus check i received?

You only report the 3rd round stimulus on 2021.   So say yes and enter your amount if different.

What happened with the first 2?  Did you file a 2020 return to claim them?  Or were you a dependent?

COVID stimulus

You are only being asked about the 3rd EIP payment--- the one that was issued in 2021 for $1400 per person.   You are not being asked if you received the first or second one.  If you received the $1400 you must enter that you received it.

You do not say why you did not get the first or second stimulus checks---if you were someone else's dependent at the time in 2020 then you were not eligible to receive those payments, or if your income was too high in 2020 you would not have received them.  If there was some sort of mix up and you should have received them then you can still file a 2020 return or an amended 2020 return to seek the first or second stimulus payments as a recovery rebate credit  for 2020.

COVID stimulus

The third stimulus payment sent in the March - May 2021 timeframe was $1.400 for each person on the 2020 or 2019 tax return on file with the IRS.  If you received the stimulus payment then when asked if you received the payment and it is correct then answer Yes.  The 3rd stimulus payment is only reported on the 2021 tax return, not any other stimulus payment that you were eligible to receive in 2020.
