This tax year (2021) I converted a regular IRA to a Roth IRA. As I went through the process on TT, your choice of responses was illogical ("I did something else...", and did not offer the option of "converted to Roth IRA. Since the options are listed under the conversion section, this should be a clearly named option to check. This needs to be fixed.

Which product are you using and is it the desktop version or the online version?
Also, are you entering data in the section for Form 1099-R?
Did you pick you moved it to another account? What coddusi box 7? You should get this screen. You did a conversion
That is the option I chose first. Problem is, when you do that, it treats that money as if it is non-taxable, when it is taxable.
Even though you might have converted the entire amount, you must indicate that you did a combination of rolling over, converting and cashing out, then enter the amount converted to Roth.
I'm impressed that you know this answer. After trial and error, I got it to work. The central problem remains that the TT description is not sufficiently explanatory or intuitive.
