No. The child tax credit is for parents to claim when claiming their children. If you have no income, you do not qualify for any tax credits and do not need to file a return.

If you did not have any income from work then you are not eligible to claim the child tax credit on a 2023 tax return.

I never received my second and third stimulus payments. Is there anything I can do to redeem these payments as of 5/5/2026? Thank's for any help you may be able to provide. Cheers.
