I'm in the portion of the TurboTax where I've got to enter my income from my W2. This year for 2023, TurboTax offered to "read it in" to import it. I almost choose that, but I am not sure how TurboTax will handle multiple entries on my W2. There's an entry for Federal, State, and two for Local.
Will that only confuse TurboTax?

Every 2023 W-2 that you received must be reported on your 2023 tax return, even if they are for small amounts. Remember that each one of those W-2’s has your Social Security number on it, and that income was reported to the IRS by the employer. You do not want to get in trouble with the IRS for under-reporting your income or have your refund delayed by having missing income.
ALL of your W-2’s must be entered on the SAME tax return.
Go to Federal>Wages & Income to enter a W-2.
After you enter the first one, you click Add Another W-2.
W-2's come from your employer, and they have until January 31 to issue it. Some employers allow you to import the W-2 through the software, but for security reasons you still need information from the actual W-2 to import it. Some employers have payroll sites that will have your W-2. You might need to phone, drop in, email and/or snail mail an old employer to make sure they know where to send your W-2.

And….SAVE YOUR OWN W-2! TURBOTAX DOES NOT SAVE IT FOR YOU. TurboTax will not have a copy of it in your account and will not have an image even if you snapped a photo or imported it. It is up to you to save it for your own records as stated on the back of the W-2.
WOW!! I cannot believe that you would think I was trying to defraud the government/IRS. That is NOOOOOTTTT what I was asking. That is 180 degrees away from what I am asking.
OK, I'll try to be painfully explicit. I want to know if importing my W2, in PDF format, will make TurboTax quadruple all entries, because it's there four times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't trust it. I am a software engineer, and I KNOW FROM FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE HOW SOFTWARE CAN MESS THINGS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, the question is one of fitness for the task of reading the correct values and assigning them correctly for all values for all government agencies involved.

Will TurboxTax not screw up the data entry for any governmental agencies? Can I trust it to ACCURATELY import data and accurately assign it to where it must go? I do NOT suggest, imply, deceive, anyone. I am asking nothing else, nothing hidden. No other agenda. Nothing else should be deduced.
Whoa...chill down. No one suggested that you are trying to commit fraud. What did you even interpret as a suggestion of that?
Each W-2 that you received -- if you had more than one employer -- has to be entered on the same tax return.
There are a variety of ways to enter W-2's. You can key it in by hand, import it, or--using the mobile app--snap a photo of it.
If the same W-2 is there four times then you made some sort of error and imported it multiple times. Each one should only be entered once. If you imported a W-2 too many times, delete the extra entries and keep each one entered only one time.
You can talk to customer support to get help if you are confused by how to enter your W-2's.
