Can someone help me figure out why I’m getting a dependent deduction when I don’t have kids nor did I file for a dependent?

Where are you seeing a dependent deduction?

Your screenshot is impossible to read.   Look at your actual Form 1040.  Are there any dependents shown on the tax form?  It will be up near the top of the first page.

Thank you kindly for the info but unfortunately I don’t have 1040 form only my W-2. My old employer has record of it but I was laid off.

If you prepared a tax return you prepared a Form 1040.

A 1040 is the tax return form you prepare here to send to the IRS.   If you start entering data in this software you are preparing a Form 1040.   Please look at it so you will know what you are sending to the IRS:

If you were able to view your Form 1040, your filing status is Single and you don't see a Child or Other Dependent Tax Credit on Line 19 or Line 28, then you don't have a dependent on your return. TurboTax sometimes shows a variety of topics on the screen while the program is working.

See this TurboTax tips article for more information regarding claiming dependents.

If you need help using the mobile app and would like to have a representative see your screen, go to the question mark in the upper-right corner, and you can get answers to commonly asked questions, ask your own question, or have a live specialist contact you via one-way video (you’ll see them, but they won’t see you) to answer your questions.
