Nope ... you will need the Self Employed version if you use online TurboTax or you can use ANY version of desktop software that you download/install from a CD... Basic if you don't need a state return and Deluxe or better if you do.

When you use desktop software, there is an additional fee to e-file a state return. You can avoid that fee if you print, sign and mail the state return. The state e-file fee is $19.99 and increases in March.
Simple answer is no. You need use either Turbo Tax Self-Employed or Turbo Tax Home and Business.
You can enter Self Employment Income into Online Deluxe or Premier but if you have any expenses you will have to upgrade to the Self Employed version. Or use any of the Desktop CD/Download programs. We can tell you how to switch to the Desktop program.

Ok, so I am self-employed and have no expenses, also have pension and IRA distributions to report. Will be filing jointly as my wife still works full time. So, I can just use a desktop version or even the online premier version?
Yes. Any Desktop program. Or the Online Deluxe or Premier if you are not reporting self employment expenses. You only need the Self Employed version if you have expenses.
