Can I use my 2019 fed filing to import information to my Ohio state return which I never filed?

To clarify, are you preparing your state return for 2019 as well?

Yes you should.  You need to download the .tax2019 file from your online account.  Then install the 2019 Desktop program and continue your 2019 return.  Then print and mail the state.  

Call support for help downloading the file and getting the 2019 program.
