The 5-digit is a made up number by yourself each year. The IP PIN is a 6-digit number you'll get after signing in @ irs.gov and look for IP PIN. For Home & Business in Turbo Tax, they really messed up this year, you will need to enter the 6-digit IP PIN in "Forms", not Federal tab or whatsoever. Hope this help!

The 5 digit self-selected PIN in the File section of the TurboTax program can be changed from one year to the next. It does not need to be the same 5 digits from the 2023 tax return. What must be accurate is the 2023 AGI that you have entered. If must be the exact amount from the 2023 federal tax return Line 11.
