Billing Issue - Unable to use service, need to request a refund.

Only after charging my credit card did Turbo Tax make it aware that I am unable to e-file due to a glitch in their system. Every attempt at solving the glitch (TC-40w Payer id is incorrect) gets nowhere (updated W-2, deleted and re-entered W-2, attempted to delete form, now since I've paid I cannot clear and start over).

I simply need a refund, as I will file through another company. No contact for support found anywhere including this popular link: https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/contact/

First what audit form did the IRS send you ?

TurboTax does not receive any information from the IRS or your state after your return was filed, so no one at TurboTax knows about a letter you received from the IRS or the state.

AUDIT SUPPORT

 

TurboTax has a special phone number for help with IRS/state tax letters, which will be easier than going through regular Customer Support.   At the page below, click on the blue button that says "Get Help from TurboTax Support".  Then it will ask you what tax year is your letter.  Then it will ask you what the letter concerns. Then it will show you the phone number during posted business hours.

Simply put, our Maximum Refund (or Tax Savings) Guarantee says that if you get a bigger tax refund (or owe less taxes) through another tax preparation method, we'll refund the purchase price you paid for TurboTax.
