Being blocked from filing because I need to enter actual sales tax paid 1d(7), but I have no itemized entries

I am stuck unable to file because Turbotax says I need to enter the "Tax and Interest Deduction Worksheet: Actual sales tax amount paid should be entered or, if different, enter the sales tax rate for". However, I did not itemize any items for sales tax. If I scroll down to "d) Sales Tax Paid on Specific Items", I see multiple entries with my state's tax rate but no additional information in any of the boxes. If I go into Deductions & Credits -> Sales tax -> Enter All My Receipts -> $0, I get prompted for standard deduction and don't see any itemized entries at all.

Again, this is blocking me submitting my return via Turbotax. What can I do?

Try deleting Schedule A

For TurboTax Desktop, switch to Forms (Upper right corner)

  • To Delete a Form  using TurboTax Online:
Select Tax Tools on the left side-bar
    Select Tools from that drop-down
Select “Delete a form” on the TOOLS CENTER screen
    Select schedule A and delete

There was no entry for Schedule A, but I was able to see and remove an entry for "Tax and Interest Deduction Worksheet" which unblocked me from finishing my taxes. Thank you
