Backing up software

I have multiple TurboTax Desktop versions on my Windows 11 computer going back several years. How can I backup the software so I can restore it in case of a hardware failure or upgrading to a new machine?

You can't. Software needs to be installed from the cd or download it again. And you can only install Turbo Tax for the last 3 years. Even if you install older years you won't be able to update it or download any state programs.

Just be sure to backup all the pdf and .tax files frequently.
