No, you don't need to enter a Form 1095-B on your tax return, because it isn't required.

Instead, answer the Health Insurance section in TurboTax as follows:

  1. answer "Yes" to "Did you have health insurance coverage in 2015?"
  2. select "no" to "Were you enrolled in a plan from Healthcare.gov or another Marketplace in 2015?"

That's all we need!

For 2019 taxes I don't see the question of "did you have insurance?".  I see a "did you receive a 1095a?'  Help, where is this question of did I have insurance?

Insurance is no longer mandated, so the only heath insurance form that is necessary to enter is a 1095A.

As 2016 marks the second year that Americans are required to report their health insurance status on their taxes under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), if you have health insurance is through your employer, Medicaid, Medicare, VA, or other qualifying coverage, in the TurboTax program, all you will need to do is just check a box indicating you have coverage and you are done!

During the tax season, taxpayers who have non-Marketplace health insurance (their plan wasn’t purchased on healthcare.gov or a state Marketplace) may receive the new Forms 1095-B or 1095-C — these are receipts from private insurers or employers, confirming you had or were offered coverage. Check them for accuracy if you receive them and keep them for your records. You will not need them to file your 2015 tax return.

In the program, select Federal taxes / Health Insurance-Continue

On screen, 'Did you have health insurance coverage in 2015?' , select Yes-Continue

'Was anyone enrolled in a plan from Healthcare.gov or another Marketplace in 2015?" , select No. , then Continue.

Greetings to you all.

I am currently in Africa, I will  be back this August 2020 hopefully. I received my 1095-B from my old addres from my roommate through WhatsApp. My question is how do I file and enter the 1095-B?

1095-B is for your records only.  1095-A is the only 1095 form that needs to be entered into TurboTax.  TurboTax will ask questions about your medical coverage and you will answer that you have insurance for the full year.  Just save the 1095-B with your 2020 tax records.  It is your proof that you had medical insurance coverage.

No, is the correct answer since you did not receive a Form 1095-A.  A form 1095-B is not entered on a tax return.
