Are the 2021 individual income tax forms ready yet?

Crude 2021 Online tax software is not expected to be available until around early December....but even then, many sections may not be functional.

Crude 2021 Desktop software is apparently being released now...but that will also be pretty crude and not fully functional.

Neither will be essentially ready until mid-January, and perhaps even later if congress enacts late legislation....like they foolishly did the past two years.

Do you mean TurboTax, or the IRS forms? The preliminary version of the CD/Download TurboTax software for 2021 is available now. You can purchase it at the following link.

The preliminary version of TurboTax Online for 2021 will probably be available in early December.

The official IRS forms for 2021 have not been released yet (which is one reason that the TurboTax software is preliminary).

The TurboTax online editions for tax year 2021 will not be available until sometime in early December.

Note that neither the 2021 online or desktop editions will have all the finalized forms and schedules, federal or state, until late January or early February 2022.
