AGI issue due to 2019 return not processed at the IRS yet.

Last year I had to file a paper return.  The IRS cashed my check, but the return was never processed.  When I efiled my 2020 return the first time this year it was rejected due to an AGI issue.  The IRS website says that in order to efile 2020 I need to use a 0 for the AGI since last years return has not been processed yet.   I did that, and got an email indicating "In Progress: Your TurboTax Return Status".  The email further states it could take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours and an email will be sent with the results once it has been accepted or rejected...  It has been well past 48 hours at this point and I have not received another email, so do I continue to wait or assume I need to retransmit.  I don't know if this matters or not, but I got back into Turbotax and it still says rejected due to an AGI issue in there.   Is this rejection from my first or second attempt?  Since I never got another email, I am assuming that this status is still based on the first attempt, but I have no way of knowing...   Confused on how to proceed......

There should be a "Fix My Return" button if the rejection you are seeing is from the second attempt.

You can always try to transmit again. Unless your return was rejected a second time, you will get a message saying your return has already been transmitted.

How do I fix a rejected return?

Thanks.  Apparently it was rejected the sencond time and I just never got another email.   I file married jointly.  The AGI question only asked once the first time.  It was apparently complaining about my wife's AGI which is the same as mine since we filed together.  Pretty bizzare... If we filed jointly doesn't that imply we should have one AGI?  Oh well... It's in and accepted now.
