Turbo Tax WILL NOT let me delete my adoption worksheet. I've tried going through the Delete Form tool; I've tried entering a child and then deleting them; I've tried deleting my cache & cookies; I've tried everything I can think of, and the worksheet just keeps reappearing, even after it says it's deleted. It's preventing me from being able to file my taxes. I don't want to claim the adoption credit any longer; I'm past the allowed time period.

What is the TurboTax phone number? - Intuit
I am using TurboTax Online. Thanks
Did you go through Tax Tools, Tools, and then the Tool Center pop up to delete a form?
How do I view and delete forms in TurboTax Online?
Yes, I've tried deleting the forms, over and over. The adoption carryover worksheet will not, disappear, no matter what I do. I've tried adding one of my children and completing the adoption credit form, and then deleting them, and I've tried clearing my cache and cookies. I've made sure that none of my kids are marked as adopted, and I've tried deleting all of my kids and then re-entering them. The worksheet will not disappear, and TurboTax will not let me file the return until I complete the worksheet. But completing the worksheet makes me claim the credit, which I shouldn't be doing.
I called TurboTax and talked to a specialist. She was very nice and tried for a half hour to find a solution, but nothing worked. Her final recommendation, which I will try later tonight, probably, was to download my tax return, then clear it from TurboTax and start over. If that doesn't work, I will call back, and she put in the notes to have the issue escalated. However, if you have any more solutions, I am all ears. I'm not excited about restarting my return. I've used TurboTax for years, but this is unprecedented.
Really, I feel that TurboTax should know that I can't claim the adoption credit anymore, because I'm past the 6 year time window, and it shouldn't even be letting me do it. I shouldn't have to be wrestling with this. Maybe TT can give me a credit toward the cost of using the software, since this is clearly a glitch in the program somewhere.
I wish you luck. I called and even the rep couldn’t get it to go away. Her suggestion was to start over but before beginning again, delete the forms. I don’t see that working. I delete and delete and they just don’t delete.
I am thinking I’ll use a different tax program just to be able to file my taxes.
Did anyone get this to work or is Turbo Tax just not for adoptive families? This is a joke we also paid the maximum for support and no one knows how to fix this??
I did get it to disappear. I had to delete cookies to get it to vanish.
I never did get this to work, unfortunately. I did even try deleting my cookies, as another user suggested. The TurboTax support person tried to help, but didn't end up having the answer. I researched and tried everything, myself. I think this is a problem in the TT programming logic that has to be fixed by the developers. I ended up switching to H&R Block. I had to enter my info all over again, but I copied it down from TT. Went through without a hitch. It's sad that I had to leave TurboTax, because I have used them for years. But I highly recommend H&R as an alternative.
@mullerfamily11 Please try deleting your cookies and clearing your cache as this has been successful for some. If the issue persists, please visit the Help Article below to get you connected to the right person for assistance.
