The form 1095-A is for Obamacare.Select me for more details: What is Form 1095-B?
How do I enter my 1095-B information? I am retired from the USAF and receive a 1095-B from the Defense Finance & Accounting Services as my "proof" of compliance with ACA. I will never receive a 1095-A. The TurboTax response to: Step 1. Go to the search bar in the top right and enter "1095-B"; Step 2. Select "Jump to, 1095-B"; Step 3. Proceed to answer the questions by following the directions below; and Step 4-6 are not there. Selecting Step 2 takes me to a question asking if I received a 1095-A. I answered NO. It then takes me to a page that directs me to enter my 1095-A information before I file. I click Continue and I'm out of that section. There are no questions for the 1095-B.
This response did not address my question on how do I enter my 1095-B in TurboTax Deluxe. Why would I want to delete my form?
The IRS does not need any information from Form 1095-B, the form is for your records. Please see Do I need to enter a 1095-B? for more information.
Understand about the 1095-B being for personal records.. the problem is no 1095-A. Turbo Tax says the IRS will reject the return if the 1095-A information is not entered.. and if you didn't get one.. but instead got a 1095-B - then you have a problem.
You can file without a 1095A. If you started a 1095A by accident, see this expert answer on how to delete it
Thank you. The Turbo Tax 2021 version is telling me that a failure to file a 1095-A will result in an IRS rejection.
Glad to hear that I can file without it. TT is causing confusion by assuming that everyone should have a 1095-A.
Appreciate your quick response.
