I purchased TurboTax Deluxe 2022. My residence is in Minnesota, so I need to do a state return as well, which I will download. Am I able to a second federal and state return as well for my son who lives with us. We don't plan to E-file his returns.

In TurboTax I E filled my Fed.I.Tax Return of 2022, but refund $0=00 Why ? In 2021 I received  EIC  $760=00 refund. If you want to compare from 2019 to 2022 my all returns for refund I will give you all my data. In 2019 EIC refund $ 401=00, 2020 37=00 PTC refund received

If you are using Turbo Tax Online, you can only file one return. If you want to file more than one return, you would need to create a new Turbo Tax account or file using Turbo Tax Desktop. @DRBartels

I bought turbotax at officemax. I went to install turbotax, answers a few questions and it says I'll be charged before it's submitted. I don't want or need assistance.

@Tom013 We cannot see your information or see what software you are using but based on your comments I suspect you accidentally used online instead of the CD/download you purchased.

We see people get confused and they keep logging in to online software which will require them to pay at the end.   You need to use the desktop software.   One way to tell if you are using the right software---your tool bar.   Online software has the toolbar in a black vertical column on the left side of the screen.   Desktop software has the tools up on the top of your TT screen.

.  If you are using online, you are using the wrong program.  You need to switch to the desktop software to get what you paid for.  You have to download it, update it and open it up from your own hard drive to use it.

One other thing.....

STATE E-FILE FEE FOR CD/DWNLOAD

Lots of people misunderstand this.   When you buy the CD/download with a state return included --- it includes the software to PREPARE  the returns of the specific state of your choosing.   There is always---always---an extra fee to e-file the state return.   Before March 1 that state e-file fee is $20; after March 1 it increases to $25.  You can avoid the state e-file fee if you print and mail the state instead.  Then you just need to pay for a stamp.
