I have my PDF from my taxes, but TT Home and business won't upload a 5MB file. I even tried individual forms and it didn't work. They are all PDF's.
Question, What is the cost to have this data entered into 2021 TurboTax Home & Business and not submit it?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Yes. Turbo Tax has all those forms. Try using the interview step by step method to fill out 2021 from scratch. It will be good practice. See if you come out the same as the accountant. Then you can use it to transfer into next year.
You should be transferring the 2020 tax data file to the 2021 TurboTax program not the PDF. The tax data file has a file extension of .tax2020 and is stored by default in the TurboTax folder within the Documents directory.
See this TurboTax support FAQ for transferring last year's return to 2021 TurboTax for Windows - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/transfer-last-y...
If for some reason you Only have the PDF and Not the tax data file, see this TurboTax support FAQ - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/transfer-last-y...
What year pdf do you have? You can only transfer a 2020 pdf into a new 2021 return. Not import a 2021 pdf into 2021 Turbo Tax. But a pdf only transfers basic info like your name and address, not any depreciation etc.
Are you using Windows or Mac? You might be able to transfer to Windows Home & Business unless it is a 1040SR return.
Why do you want it entered if you are not going to file it?
THank you for the reply...
I have 2021 Turbotax home & Business and I was trying to transfer 2021 H&R block pdf into it. My taxes have been filed and a refund provided. I wanted to see my H&R Block paperwork in this software for the 2022 Turbotax Home and Business update.
That's what I thought. Sorry that is not possible. You would have to recreate the 2021 return by hand manually. You can use the Forms mode and enter directly onto the forms. Then you will have a .tax2021 file to transfer into next year.
I have already filed my taxes via an accountant. I feel the prices of an accountant are getting too high and I would like to try TurboTax Home and Business for 2022.
I feel if I can get my 2021 filed taxed entered into 2021 TT HB, I would be ready for 2022 TT HB update.
Does TT provide this service without filing?
No. Did you see my last post? That is not possible.
Ok, I will look for form mode.
To support 2022 taxes, whet should I be providing if Im using all these forms below? Maybe the software is unable to support this SOW>
Does it support all these forms?

You are stating that if I wanted to pay you to enter my 2021 data into your 2021 forms and not submit, your firm will not do this?
Yes. Turbo Tax has all those forms. Try using the interview step by step method to fill out 2021 from scratch. It will be good practice. See if you come out the same as the accountant. Then you can use it to transfer into next year.

Turbo Tax doesn't have a service to do that but you can do it yourself. See my other post. You bought the 2021 Desktop CD/Download program, right? You got it installed ok and can start a new return?
