Can I file my taxes before January 28?

You can if you have received every W-2 and/ form 1099 for tax year 2018.  The tax return will just sit on the servers after you e-file waiting for the IRS to pull the return on or after 01/28/2019

I commented on another persons comment but my husband and my taxes have been filed as of the 24th and got accepted the next day

You can't really file it. You can submit your tax return to TurboTax, and TurboTax will hold it until the IRS starts accepting tax returns on January 28. Nothing will be done with it before then, but you can't cancel it or get it back to make changes or corrections if you find that you made an error or left something out.

I filed m husbands and my taxes on January 24th of 2019 and it had been accepted january 15th 2019

Yes mine to I did the same and I filed on. The 24th and the I received a email saying it was accepted

The IRS takes some of the tax returns that are being held ahead of time to test the e-file system, but they will not start processing those returns until the 28th. After the test returns are accepted, they sit at the IRS until they start processing returns on Jan. 28.

See I filed the 11th accepted the 14th and received my state on the 23rd. So it makes me wonder about my federal . I hope it’s earlier then late February
